I guess you could say I'm a sensualist, an aesthete. I come from a background of excess practicality, a world where devoting your life to the world of the senses would be considered foolish at best, dangerous at worst. But I wouldn't listen. I had to be what I was. And what I am. And I've found that what I am is a writer, a poet, a lover, a fighter for what I feel is beautiful and right and good. I finally found out what I want to be when I grow up. So, in celebration of my transformation from caterpillar to butterfly, may I present to you . . . Passionfruit

It's been a while since my writing muse has visited me but not to worry! I have still been hard at work on making items for my Etsy site, The Gossamer Tearoom and its companion blog. I have been making cards and calendars and have several other items in the works, all inspired by tea, desserts, the moon and Paris (I still can't quite wrap my mind around how amazing it all was and I think I have just barely scratched the surface of how inspirational our week there will be in my life). You can visit the Etsy site here and the blog here. Also, I have a really exciting announcement to make, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for that! In celebration, I will be making updates to this site.

So, welcome back to Passionfruit!

Still feeling the wonder of what we don't understand, so the quote from Rainer Maria Rilke will have to stay for a bit longer:

"It is our task to imprint this temporary, perishable earth into ourselves so deeply, so painfully and passionately, that its essence can rise again. . . We are the bees of the invisible. . . (Our work is) the conversion of the beloved visible and tangible world into the invisible vibrations and agitation of our own nature."

May the wonders of your life continue to invade your senses. . .

Thank you for the time you spend here.
