Until the Light

The night is flickerlit by a small candle
Essences of rose, patchouli and ylang-ylang stain the air
That tiny throbbing light illuminates our passing
From dark into light
From past into present
From longing to love
We wade into the water of the future
I wade into the water of your eyes
Lit only by the flame of what could be
Slowly
(I'm unspeakably excited by possibilities outside the chains of limit)
And slowly,
The dawn arrives...
