For his birthday and mine and Valentine's Day
(all the reasons I can think to celebrate, all within eight days time. . .)

Valentine Poem Again

i can barely comprehend the depth of the power of
your dark hand holding mine as we prayed,
a sacred rain falling outside
our forbidden reason for love a glistening gift
I could not love you less than you do

(did you send that single star to spy shiningly into my window tonight?)

it is said that love knows no color
but if so,
why does the beautiful color of you flicker into my dreams?
& why does the dark of your eyes haunt me from the moment we are apart?
the shades of you & I from light to dark together remember this moment for eternity.
